The record · past tense

What shipped.

Sealed, classified by kind, never rewritten.

The past tense. What Flashy Financial has shipped, derived from the repository’s own history and sealed as shipped/1 — each entry classified by kind, the log appended to and never rewritten. A sealed entry never decays, the opposite of the roadmap.

The log publishes on the next emit

The sealed shipped/1 log is derived from full history and published by CI; it is absent on a shallow checkout and appears on the next emit.

A ship log is derived from full history; a shallow checkout can only see its own graft boundary, so the log is sealed by CI (which fetches the whole history) rather than guessed here. When it publishes, every entry carries its kind and the commit it seals.
